This is a workshop on writing ISI papers who was organized by Omid Noroozi for the higher education students from different universities in Iran. In this one-day workshop which was held at TMU, Omid shared his experiences and provided the students with various tips and techniques on how to publish ISI papers. This workshop was appreciated quite a lot and evaluated very positively (20 out of 20) by the students.

ELS cooperation with Iranian students/scholars

Omid Noroozi as representative of ELS/WUR has cooperated with scholars from Tarbiat Modares University (TMU), Tehran, Iran in the form of supervising PhD projects, organizing high-level scientific workshops for faculty members (professional competences, writing ISI papers, as well as presenting in international conferences), and publishing joint articles. So far, this cooperation has been successful especially with regard to the PhD project completions and training of faculty members. Below you can find the list of Iranian scholars who has worked with Omid over the last couple of years.

Prof. dr. Javad Hatami: He is a full professor of educational technology at TMU who collaborated with Omid in terms of organizing joint workshops, joint supervision of PhD students and joint Publications. Javad is currently a visiting scholar at WUR.

Dr. Ebrahim Talaei: He is an assistant professor of curriculum studies at TMU who collaborated with Omid in terms of joint supervision of PhD students and joint Publications.

MohammadReza Farrokhnia: He is a former PhD student at TMU who was supervised by Javad Hatami and Omid Noroozi on the topic of computer-supported collaborative concept mapping. He is now doing his second PhD at WUR under supervision of Harm Biemans, Thomas Lans and Omid Noroozi. His topic for the second PhD is related to the use of serious games for fostering entrepreneurship thinking of higher education students.

Saeid Latifi: He is a former PhD student at TMU who was supervised by Omid Noroozi and Javad Hatami on the topic of computer-supported collaborative learning in the form of feedback scripts. Saeid and Omid have currently busy with writing scholarly manuscripts coming from this PhD project.

Hojjat DehghanZadeh: He is currently a PhD student at TMU who is supervised by Hashem Fardanesh, Javad Hatami, and Ebrahim Talaee on the topic of computer-supported language instruction. Omid Noroozi played the role of external advisor for his PhD and co-published with him and his supervisors.

Mehdi Badali: He was a PhD student at TMU who was supervised by Javad Hatami, and Omid Noroozi on the topic of MOOCs and instructional design principles.

 Omid’s collaboration with these scholars has resulted in several joint publications in top rank journals. On the right, you can see the latest research publications based on this successful cooperation.
