Frans Bongers and Lourens Poorter among 1% most cited researchers
The Clarivate list of Highly Cited Researchers for 2018 identifies scientists who publish articles regularly and who are among the best 1% of citations in their field. The ESG is well represented on this list. From Wageningen 19 researchers appear on the list and as many as 8 out of those are from the ESG.
The chair group Aquatic Ecology and Water Quality Management is represented on the list with three researchers: Marten Scheffer, Bart Koelmans, and Egbert van Nes. Frans Bongers and Lourens Poorter from Forest Ecology and Forest Management are also included in the list. David Kleijn, Rudolf de Groot and Jan Willem van Groenigen make this prestigious list complete.
The Clarivate Analytics list of Highly Cited Researchers presents a selection of researchers who, by publishing multiple highly cited papers, have proven in the past decade that they have a significant influence on developments in their fields. The researchers have been selected on the basis of their extraordinary performance in one or more of the by Clarivate defined 21 fields from the sciences and the social sciences.
