Wageningen UR Library has been awarded a grant to digitize Dutch agricultural professional journals from 1840 to 1950. Once digitized, all the journals will be added to the database Delpher.

The Library was awarded the grant by Metamorfoze. Metamorfoze is the Dutch national programme for the preservation of paper heritage. With the grant, the Library will digitize 16 professional Dutch agricultural journals (164,200 pages). Fourteen of the journals are from the Netherlands, one is from Surinam & Curacao, and one is from Indonesia. Once digitized, the journals will be added to Delpher. Delpher is a database with Dutch full-text books, journals and newspapers. It is available to all Library users.

In 2013, the Library was also awarded a grant to digitize 19th-century Dutch agricultural newspapers. These newspapers will hopefully be full-text available in Delpher by 2015.
