The EU Guidance document on covered crops came into force December 1st 2015. In this guidance the use of an emission model for greenhouses is described. The Dutch registration authority Ctgb has announced that it will implement the new guidance on covered crops (EU) per 1st of March 2016 as well as the Greenhouse Emission Model with additional exposure scenarios.

Alterra-Wageningen UR, Wageningen UR Greenhouse Horticulture, Ctgb and RIVM are preparing a GEM training course on the backgrounds and use of the Greenhouse Emission Model. The training is planned for 16 and 17 February 2016 in Wageningen (the Netherlands) and is of interest to environmental risk assessors from industry, registration authorities and consultants. If you are interested in taking this training and/or if you would like to be kept informed on the training please send an e-mail to Jiske de Wolf.
