Hidden resources at WUR Library: Newspapers

Did you know you can read a wide range of international and Dutch national newspapers via WUR Library? These range from historical times to the most current. A few are available in print and many more online through databases.

In a world flooded with all kinds of news, newspapers are a primary source of reliable information. WUR Library holds several newspaper licences and subscriptions.

Online newspapers
LexisNexis Academic contains the full text articles of thousands of newspapers and many news magazines.

Dutch newspapers include NRC Handelsblad, De Volkskrant, Trouw, NRC Next and Het Algemeen Dagblad. Weekly magazines such as Vrij Nederland, Elsevier and De Groene Amsterdammer are also full text available.

International newspapers and magazines include The Washington Post, The Economist, The Guardian, The Times, The New York Times, Le Monde, Der Spiegel and El Pais.

You can use LexisNexis Academic to see if or how often a certain subject, organization or person has been covered in the news. Most newspapers are covered from the early nineties till the present day.

Print newspapers

In Forum Library you can find paper copies of the following newspapers:

De Volkskrant, Het Financieele Dagblad, NRC Handelsblad, NRC Next, Trouw, De Gelderlander, the International New York Times and the Financial Times. A daily copy of De Volkskrant is also available at Leeuwenborch Library.
