INSECT DOCTORS
The INSECT DOCTORS network will educate insect pathologists how to prevent infectious diseases in mass-reared insects. Therefore 15 PhD students (Early Stage Researchers (ESRs)) will be trained at eight participants from academia in Europe.
The PhD students will develop the knowledge, technical skills and tools to diagnose and manage infectious disease problems in commercial insect production systems.
In the programme the ESRs will follow integrated training workshops and they will have internship opportunities across the network. In the network there is a close interaction between the academic and industrial sectors.
