After two successful events in the Netherlands, the next conference of the Benelux region of the International Society for Applied Ethology will be held at “De Hooibeekhoeve” in Geel, Belgium (Antwerp province’s extension research station for dairy cattle) on the 15th of October 2015.

We would like to welcome you to present a study on the behaviour or welfare of farm, laboratory, companion or zoo animals. For information about presentations, abstract submission and registration, please visit the website: http://www.applied-ethology.org/benelux.html.

The official conference language will be English.

Registration

  • Registration fee: €30 for ISAE members and €50 for non-members, including coffee/tea and lunch.
  • Dinner is optional and will cost approximately €20
  • MSc. and BSc. students will be able to apply for free registration by writing a motivation letter.

Deadlines

  • Abstract submission deadline: 15th September
  • Notice of abstract acceptance: 29th September
  • Student motivation letter deadline: 1st October
  • Registration deadline: 7th October

We plan to focus on oral presentations, although posters will be allowed at the author’s own request. If we receive many requests for oral presentations we may have to change some of these into posters. Of course, the conference is also open to people who want to attend but don’t want to present a study themselves.

We hope to see you all (again)!

With kind regards,

Liesbeth Bolhuis & Stephanie Buijs (Regional Officers of the Benelux ISAE), Inonge Reimert (member of the organizing committee)
