On the 2nd of June an interview with prof. Jacqueline Bloemhof was published in VMT, a magazine for professionals in food. She explains how a shift in logistics offers opportunities for agro-food industry to improve, as was shown in a recent publication of our group in the Journal of Food Engineering. In this publication logistic aspects of the supply chain were taken into account in the selection of production processes within the agro-food industry. It showed that for the final choice of a production process, the process efficiency isn’t the only thing to consider.
