Lunch lecture on drying
Monday 26th of February a lunch lecture has been organized together with Nicolas Appert, the study association for Food Technology students in Wageningen. The students were welcomed by Maarten Schutyser with an introduction about the NWGD (Dutch Working Group Drying). Followed with three graduated food technology students who are nowadays working in the drying industry.
Koen van Dijke (Teamleader & Sr. Scientist Processing, Danone Nutricia Research), Nammen van der Meulen (Manager process technology, Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods) and Ilse-Marte de Leeuw (Process technologist evaporation & drying, Tetra Pak) told their stories how they became a Food Drying Expert by starting their study Food Technology at Wageningen University.
Hopefully the students got excited about the drying technology and will consider a job in the working field of drying.
