At the moment, the WWL has scheduled four lunch workshops, two of them in cooperation with Wageningen UR Library.

Plan for success!

May 12 in Forum C0106, 12.30 – 13.20
How to start with your writing assignment in an effective way? That's the question we aim to address during the workshop ‘Plan for Success!’. Organised by the Wageningen Writing Lab, the workshop will provide you with the theory behind the writing process and guide you applying this theory to your assignment.

Searching efficiently in the right databases

May 19 in Forum Library, 460, 12.30-13.20
You can look up information in many places and in many ways.  Knowledge of databases and search strategies will help you to find scientific publications on your topic quicky and systematically. Learn about tips and tricks in this workshop. You can bring your own research question and get advice from our experts on how you can best find information.

Find your writing style and use it optimally!

May 26 in Forum C0408, 12.30 – 13.20
In this workshop, you will discover your personal writing style, learn about typical pitfalls and how to avoid them. You will profit most from the workshop if you bring an assignment you are currently working on, but it is also possible to take the workshop if you currently have no writing task.

Citing and referencing

June 9 in Forum C0408, 12.30-13.20
To avoid plagiarism in academic writing, you must correctly cite and reference the sources you use. But what sources should you cite, where should you put an in-text citation, and how should you make a reference list? The workshop will address these questions as well as different citation styles you can use in academic writing and how tools like EndNote can save you countless hours in formatting reference lists.
