Prior to the defence of Yu Yang on Wednesday 20 April, 1:30 p.m. in the Aula, the Centre for Crop Systems Analysis organises a mini-symposium on Crop yields in intercropping on Tuesday 19 April at Wageningen Campus.

The mini-symposium entitled 'Crop yields in intercropping: meta-analysis, virtual plant modelling and more ...' will start at 2:00 p.m. in Radix building, room W0.1 at Wageningen Campus.

Program mini-symposium

  • 14:00‐14:30 Prof. Zhang Fusuo (China Agricultural University): Chinese agriculture: towards ecological intensification
  • 14:30‐15:00 Dr Jochem Evers (Crop Systems Analysis): Simulating the
    mechanisms determining intercrop performance
  • 15:00‐15:30 Coffee/tea
  • 15:30‐16:00 Prof. Ellis Hoffland (Soil Quality): On soil organic matter dynamics in intercrop systems and species‐diverse grasslands
  • 16:00‐16:30 Yu Yang MSc (Crop Systems Analysis): A meta‐analysis of relative crop yields in cereal/legume mixtures suggests options for management

Lecture Prof. Erik Jensen on 20 April

Subsequently, on Wednesday morning 20 April 10:30-11:15, Prof. Erik Jensen (SLU, Uppsala) will give a talk on 'Eco-functional intensification of crop production by intercropping?' in Radix building, room W.01 at Wageningen Campus.
