On Friday 20th of January the course Nanomedicine visited the LUMC for inspiring lectures about the clinical application of (hybrid) imaging agents.

A group of 38 master and bachelor studens, following our course Towards Nanomedicine (BNT-30306), visited the Interventional Molecular Imaging Laboratory (IMI) at the Leiden University Medical Center (LUMC). Here, the students listened to inspiring lectures about the clinical application of fluorescence and nuclear imaging and the combination of both in hybrid imaging agents and hybrid nanoparticles. Furthermore they had some hands on experience with upcoming technologies for detecting both modalities in the operating theatre.
