As from 1 March, the new data sharing policy for PLoS journals becomes effective.
The new policy stipulates that the minimal dataset should be publicly available. PLoS wants reviewers, editors and readers to have that information transparently available when they read an article. More information can be found on the PLoS editorial and publishing pages. Questions and concerns are discussed in the PLoS blog.
Apart from the options to publicly deposit data, we want to point out that the library offers similar possibilities. Currently we have 80 deposited and curated datasets registered in Staff Publications, of which 34 are publicly available.
If you want to deposit a dataset safely, for your publication in one of the PLoS journals or any other journal, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
