New distance-learning course highly valued by ESF and Wageningen students
The experimental format used in the Academic Consultancy Course received positive feedback from its students, both from Wageningen University and the College of Environmental Science and Forestry (ESF), based in New York.
The course was a new endeavor for both ESF and Wageningen University and made use of distance-learning tools such as videoconferencing. It was supported in part by a distance-learning innovation grant from Wageningen University and received strong support from administrators at both institutions. It was developed by Dr. Bettina Bluemling (Environmental Policy Group, WUR) and prof David A. Sonnenfeld (State University of New York and Research Associate of ENP).
