New guest researchers at ECS

Last month, we welcomed two new guest researchers at our chair group, Viviane Amorim and Asma Bashir.

Viviane Amorim 

Viviane Amorim is a Geography teacher who worked in several secondary schools in Rio de Janeiro - Brazil. Also has a master in Education -PUC/RIO and worked in teacher training programs at universities and NGOs. At the moment she is completing her PhD studies in Education and Society at Barcelona's University and starting her guest research position at ECS. Her research interests are: education and social justice, interculturality and teacher training. 

Viviane will stay at ECS until March, 2018.

Asma Bashir

Asma Bashir currently works as a lecturer in Department of Psychology, Women University, Multan, Pakistan. She completed her M.Phil. in Organizational Psychology from Government College University Lahore, Pakistan. Currently she is pursuing her PhD degree (Educational Psychology) from Beaconhouse National University, Lahore, Pakistan, under the supervision of  Dr. Ruhi Khalid, Director (IP), BNU, Lahore. She is earning a scholarship from Women University Multan under the scheme of faculty Development Program(FDP) funded by Higher Education commission of Pakistan(HEC) .

She has joined Wageningen University in the capacity of “Guest Researcher” at Department of Social Sciences, Education and Competence Studies. She will work under the kind supervision of Dine Brinkman &  Dr. Harm Biemans. They will explore the “Predictors of psychosocial adjustment/Acculturation of Pakistani/Muslim international students at the Netherlands”.

Asma will stay at ECS until April, 2018.
