The measuring-progress team has developed a new open-access, searchable web tool to help policy makers, businesses and researchers measure the success of green polices.

As every policy maker and researcher knows, GDP can only take you so far. This is especially true when it comes to analysing sustainable economic and development polices, but choosing the right alternative indicator from the many choices available is almost as difficult as it is essential. Fortunately, the measuring-progress team has developed a new open-access, searchable web tool to help policy makers, businesses and researchers measure the success of green polices.

At www.measuring-progress.eu, users can quickly identify the most relevant green indicator for their needs, delve into the detail of data availability, indicator construction and data quality for their chosen metric, and easily compare their choice with similar indicators also be suited to their analysis or subject.

LEI Wageningen UR is part of the European consortium who developed the web-based tool measuring progress towards the green economy. Measuring Progress collects and classifies green economy indicators to help improve the policy making process. It is created by the NETGREEN project funded by the European Commission.
