Open Access publishing is the topic of a heated debate. Some see it as the only way forward, others worry about quality control and costs. But what is it? What are the pros and cons of Open Access publishing? And who will benefit from Open Access?

16.30 Informal meeting with drinks
A meeting for PhD candidates, postdocs and scientific staff of Wageningen UR on Open Access publishing and related research data. Using a combination of introductions, presentations and debate, scientists from different career stages will discuss the pros and cons, pitfalls and opportunities of Open Access publishing for Wageningen UR with the audience. The debate is fuelled with propositions (also part of the registration process) and voting by the audience.
