Publishing Open Access in almost all Sage journals

The VSNU and Sage have agreed that researchers at Dutch universities and research institutions can publish their articles Open Access in 97% of the Sage journals. This agreement runs from 2017 through 2019.

Full 100% Open Access is not yet possible because some scientific societies have yet to give permission. This agreement follows a successful collaboration in 2015 and 2016 when the VSNU and Sage had agreed to Open Access publishing for 20% of the articles.

Open Access improves availability of academic knowledge
Dutch universities and the Dutch government strongly support Open Access for academic publications. These publications are easier to find, more frequently cited and reach a larger audience.

The list of Sage journals covered in this deal is not yet available.
