The beaches of Noord-Holland are covered with solid paraffin. Paraffin is a compound in crude oil. In the North Sea, it is expelled by ships when they are cleaning out their tanks. But what is the effect of paraffin on sea life? Tinka Murk talks about it in a NPO Radio 1 interview.
