Wageningen University & Research will celebrate its 100-year anniversary on 9 March. A host of events will take place from March to November to mark the university's centennial. WUR students and staff will raise a glass at midnight on 8 March to ring in the anniversary year.
The event will get underway with a performance by the Dutch National Student Orchestra (NSO) at Forum. Visitors can then enjoy a glass of mulled wine in and around the event tent, while listening to the WUR student and employee band BigBand Sound of Science. Around midnight, Rector Magnificus Arthur Mol will announce the official start of the anniversary year with a celebratory toast. The evening will culminate in a spectacular laser show that will incorporate the past, present, and future of WUR.
Those interested in attending the NSO concert are advised to act fast: there are only 450 tickets available for WUR students and staff. Please register via the event page:
