As a scientist, you can create many profiles with corresponding identification codes. Other profiles are created for you. For most researchers, it is not so clear what purpose these profiles serve, and what’s in it for them.
In a new post on our Open Science blog, we discuss the main options to create profiles: ORCID, citation databases, social networks and Staff Publications.
We invite you to read and to comment on the blogposts of the OpenScience blog.
You can find more information about author IDs and profiles on the For researchers pages 'Profiles and networks'. For questions please contact the WUR Library Servicedesk.
