What version control issues do researchers encounter and possibly struggle with? The Library asked this question in preparing a course on version control for PhD students.

To answer this question, the Library surveyed a group of researchers at the Graduate school PE&RC. In the survey they asked the researchers what issues they encountered in their day-to-day work. Based on their responses the Library identified five main problem areas for researchers. We discuss these areas with examples from the survey in our new blogpost.
