Subsidy for Ava Verhoeven

Ava Verhoeven received a subsidy from the "LEB Fonds" (Stichting Fonds Landbouw Exportbureau) for visiting the 2019 IS-MPMI XVII Congress in Glasgow, Scotland. This conference is well known as the most important congress in the field of molecular plant-pathogen interactions. At the conference, she will present her work on the identification and molecular characterization of a new effector from the Tropical root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita. This visit will allow her to expand her network in the field of Plant Sciences beyond the Netherlands and obtain new ideas for her own research.
