Subsidy for Mark Sterken

Mark Sterken received a subsidy from the “Stichting Johanna Westerdijkfonds" for visiting the 2019 IS-MPMI XVII Congress in Glasgow, Scotland. This is an influential meeting in the field of molecular plant-pathogen interactions. At the conference, Mark presents his work on variation in susceptibility of tomato to the Tropical root-knot nematode Meloidogyne incognita outside of resistance genes. During this visit, Mark can expand his international network in the field of host-parasite interactions in plants and obtain new ideas for his own research.
