Successful first run of student-MOOC ‘Becoming an agent for sustainable change’
The first run of the student-MOOC 2019-2020 ‘Becoming an agent for sustainable change’ was successful!
Results
- 1500 enrolled; 134 verified users; 34 final projects.
- Large diversity in age, countries, background. With the main users from the Netherlands, USA and India.
- Lively discussions on the forum between peer students as a result of working on individual personal project and sharing personal stories and experiences. See here some examples of the posters of the personal projects that participants developed.
- The overall grade was 7.8, with 36,7% of the participants saying that the course exceeded that expectations in a positive sense.

- As lessons learned many of the participants argued to feel more empowered to really acting as a change agent for sustainability. This is a great outcome, as reaching these kinds of learning outcomes (creating more feeling of empowerment) is challenging in a MOOC. MOOCs mostly focus on knowledge development.
