SureFarm policy brief on the resilience of European agriculture

Recently, a policy brief has been published which reflects on the new proposals for the Common Agricultural Policy by the European Commission. Researchers from the EU project Sure-Farm (SUstainable and REsilient EU FARMing systems) argue that the proposals focus exclusively on addressing short-term challenges (robustness), while interventions that allow farmers to cope with long-term challenges (adaptability and transformability) are largely lacking. Sure-Farm is a research consortium, financed by a Horizon 2020 grant from the European Commission, which investigates strategies to improve the resilience of EU farming systems. More information can be found on:
