Veluweloop 2018 ‘Like never before’

Dear readers,

On Saturday the 13th of October, Luuk, Hansje and myself represented ELS in the ENP/ELS Veluweloop team! As ELS representatives, we joined the ENP (Environmental Policy Group) team that is named after the secretary of the ENP department: Corry. She always supported the runners during the day with catering and cheering, so therefore more than 20 years ago the team “Don’t Worry We’ve Got Corry” was created.

We ran like never before and were really lucky to have such beautiful weather. It really was an amazing day. This year, 88 teams participated in the running relay and our team made it to the upper half of the ranking: #41 out of 88 teams, so we can be proud of ourselves! Hansje was the highest in ranking of the entire team: she was 15^th of the 88 runners! Next to all these achievements, it was also a really nice way to get to know your colleagues within WUR and to enjoy a fun day in the beautiful scenery of the Veluwe.

All that is left for me to say is: who wants to sign up for next year? :)
