Wageningen UR Library starts issuing DOIs

Wageningen UR Library has started identifying PhD theses and Wageningen UR reports with a DOI. The DOI is a digital object identifier that provides a unique persistent reference to a publication. Even if the publication’s URL changes, the DOI will remain the same.

PhD candidates will be given DOI usage instructions by the Doctorate secretariat of PhD services. Authors or communications staff finishing a Wageningen UR report can request a DOI from the Library.

Once a publication has a DOI, you'll be able to find and refer to it more easily, even in EndNote. The DOI replaces the e-depot link as an internationally accepted identifier. Check DOI for background information or mail us if you have questions about DOIs.
