Wageningen listed position 14 of best universities in Europe

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings data have revealed the top 200 universities in Europe 2016 and have put Wageningen University on place 14. This is the highest position of a Dutch university in the European wide ranking. Most universities in the Netherlands are classified in the top 100.

Best universities

The universities of Oxford and Cambridge and Imperial College London achieved the highest scores of all higher education institutions in the continent, based on the data and methodology used to compile the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2015-2016.  Institutions were measured on their teaching environment, research environment, citations (research influence), industry income and international outlook.

Dutch universities

The other Dutch universities mostly were ranked high: University of Amsterdam (19), Utrecht (20), Delft (21) and Leiden University (22) followed by Erasmus Rotterdam (25) and Groningen at place 27. All thirteen Dutch universities were ranked in the top 200 with a median overall score of 62,4. (UK 54,3 and Germany 49,7).
