The aim of the Complexity in Transport & Logistics program is to make innovative and multidisciplinary research possible that will then lead to radical ideas for the logistics system.

The Trans-SONIC project focuses on the development of technological and organizational solutions for the development of integrated multi-modal transport solutions that are needed to transport goods lasting between main ports and hinterland. The project studies the impact of new sensor and interaction technologies and incentives for self-organization.

3.5 million euro is available for the research project Complexity in Transportation & Logistics. The money is made available from the Dutch Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). The main task of the NWO is to fund scientific research at Dutch public research institutions.
