Education Experience
Wageningen University & Research aims to improve the information and services provided to students and teachers. The Education Experience Team makes 'our customers', which include the students, teachers, alumni and staff of the WUR, the focal point. We do so by listening to their experiences and needs through organised sessions. The analysed outcomes of these sessions serves as advice for the university on how to improve the education at WUR as a whole.
Help us improve WUR and join a session! Education Experience sessions are usually on campus, where you will be served free lunch.
Our upcoming topics:
Career services
The university is very curious how you experience the career services offered by your study programme, your study association and WUR's department 'Student career services'. Therefore we organise education experience sessions on November 2nd and November 23rd. In those sessions you can share your experiences regarding the career services offered, can indicate what you miss and what you need.
The sessions are hosted from 12:00 till 14:00 and include a free vegetarian lunch.
Experience of a period
In November we will organise a few shorter sessions to create an overview of how students and teachers experience an average educational period. What are the main enablers or obstacles for a successful period, what opportunities do you see? The first two sessions will be focused on mapping the setting in which a course is given or followed and the different experiences, and the last two sessions will dive deeper into what is needed to improve.

After you sign-up by filling in the form (click on the orange button above), you will be contacted through email with information regarding the location of the session(s).
How do we get answers? The Education Experience Team, part of the department 'Education & Student Affairs', maps the wishes and needs of students and teachers, using various methods:
- Customer Journey Mapping
- Design Thinking (Stanford method)
- Make your Mark
- Awareness Mapping
During the sessions students and employees will map a specific journey with use of a persona. These persona all represent a part of our target group. From the perspective and needs of each persona a journey is developed.
