Food Systems Approach: Nature based solutions
The need for food systems to move towards a more sustainable provider of sufficient nutritious food is evident. So far, the food system has a mixed track record in providing food and nutrition security and a poor track record when looking at the impacts on biodiversity and climate change.
This project will contribute to harnessing the results and approaches of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) regenerative agriculture, biomimicry, and Ecosystem Approaches (EA) to contribute to and guide this transition. Examples of improved resilience, contributions to biodiversity restoration and development, and generation of greener and healthier environments in relation to the key aims of food systems are included.
