Symposium ‘The role of pigs in sustainable circular agriculture’

Het Familievarken is a new barn concept to keep pigs in a circular and welfare friendly way.

One of the speakers was Dr. Inonge Reimert from the Adaptation Physiology Group of Wageningen. Together with colleagues and students, Dr. Reimert studied the behaviour and welfare of the Familievarken pigs and she presented part of the results found. It was a nice afternoon with interesting presentations. An article (in Dutch) about the symposium was written for the magazine ‘Varkens’.
