JPI-FACCE
JPI (Joint Programming Initiatives) is een instrument ingesteld door de Europese Commissie om R&D samenwerking tussen landen te versterken. De EC hoopt zo de European Research Area (ERA) te bevorderen. FACCE-JPI is één van de tien lopende JPIs, en wel op het gebied van klimaatverandering, voedselzekerheid en landbouw.
Daarmee is FACCE direct relevant voor de beleidsterreinen van EZ (DG-AGRO). Binnen FACCE-JPI wordt in Europees verband meerjarig samengewerkt aan gecoördineerde inzet rond klimaat-slimme landbouw, voedselzekerheid, klimaatadaptatie en mitigatie van de landbouw, en de duurzame productie van food en non food in de bio economie. Er worden verschillende aanpakken gebruikt om onderzoeksprogrammering, financiering en uitvoering te harmoniseren om zo efficiënter gebruik van schaarste middelen (budget, menskracht, infrastructuren) te bevorderen.
