My educational background is in Ecosystem Management (BSc) and Sustainable International Agriculture (MSc) with a focus on understanding and managing agroecosystems that are exposed to climate risk.
My work experience for financing my studies includes jobbing at a demeter poultry butchery, an internship and summer job in organic vegetable seed farming, working as a student assistant (administration, research assistance), and physical labor in a moving company.
Professionally, I am fascinated by integrating sustainability and resilience-building in agroecosystems. Therefore, my current PhD research focuses on how to increase sustainability in vertical farming, an innovation that has great potential to simultaneously address food production in urban areas and high resource use efficiency.
