Marielle is a PhD candidate from the Netherlands. She got a master's degree (cum laude) in Consumer sciences, which she obtained at Wageningen University and Research in July 2020.
In August 2020, Marielle started her PhD at Food Quality and Design. During her PhD, she will study the "Snackification" trend, where she will focus on gaining a more profound understanding of consumers’ snacking behaviours. She will do so under supervision of Prof. Dr. Vincenzo Fogliano, Dr. Bea Steenbekkers, and Dr. Ruud Verkerk.
