Advancing the design and development of innovative and sustainable value chains in agriculture.
Objectives of the project
First, to identify the gaps in the existing conversation among stakeholders involved in the PPPs focusing on advancing the design and development of innovative and sustainable value chains in agriculture. Then, to develop a heuristic framework and/or set of tools that would enhance the existing vocabulary as well as offer an experimental learning platform for human centered innovation in the field. This outcome would emerge from the expertise and knowledge base of all stakeholders involved, facilitated by the research team, who would then prototype the intended solution with the end users in order to refine the outcome for the best possible deliverable. We define design innovation as the interface between 1) business, 2) technical, and 3) human values. We will attempt to develop the intended solution (heuristic framework or toolkit such as common vocabulary and platform) based on the interplay between these three facets.
- Workshops and documentation (photographic material, and visuals)
- A prototype heuristic framework to discuss the process by which value chain design innovation is currently realized, and whether this process can be improved upon to better achieve stakeholders' ambitions.
