CAP reform and green blue veigning

The EU policy on biodiversity did not attain the goals. An analysis of the European Commission from 2010 indicates as a major cause that the Natura 2000 areas function insufficient as a network.

In 2013 the current budget under the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) runs out . The discussion on reforms expected after 2013 is in full swing.

The goal of this project is to analyze how CAP policy instruments to be deployed to the spatial coherence and tot improve the climate resilience of the European Natura 2000 network by taking measures in the surrounding landscape.

The project will contribute to insights in order to reduce biodiversity loss and shows which the role agriculture can play.
