Economics of forest management decision-making

The importance of forest and nature for human wellbeing is uncontested. At the same time, human demand on forest and nature on our planet is enormous, causing deforestation, decling biodiversity, climate change, etc. Forest and nature managers fulfill a critical role in this tension between scarce resource and high demand. This research project focuses on these forest and nature managers (organizations) and the decisions they (have to) make from an economic perspective, extending from the management of forest resources to the processing, marketing and consumption of ecosystem services.
