Engaging socially vulnerable adults through sports: A research to understand and increase the societal impact of sport

The project 'Engaging socially vulnerable adults through sports: A research to understand and increase the societal impact of sport',  submitted by dr. Kirsten Verkooijen and dr. Sabina Super, has been granted funding within the ZonMw call ‘Sport en Bewegen 2018’.

Aim of the project is to optimize the impact and organisation of sport programmes for socially vulnerable adults. The research will be conducted in collaboration with Windesheim Applied University, Stichting Life Goals Netherlands, Verwey-Jonker Instituut, Kenniscentrum Sport, Vereniging Sport en Gemeenten, Leger des Heils, Federatie Opvang, and the municipalities Wageningen, Purperend, Enschede, and Amsterdam.
