Entrepreneurial Learning & Innovation: case of ISM in eastern Europe

This project aims to support the business development of farmers in eastern Europe through Interactive Learning Methods for Strategic Management and entrepreneurship (ISM).

This project supports through interactive learning methods for Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship (ISM) the business development of farmers in Poland, Lithuania and Slovenia. The project is one of the cases of the 'Entrepreneurial Learning & Innovation and aims therefore to provide insight into the "translatability" of a Netherlands-developed interactive method (ISM) to another - in this case, Eastern Europe - countries with different culture and context.

Abstract

Entrepreneurs (dairy farmers in Poland, Lithuania and Slovenia) in Eastern European countries face major challenges since the end of the communist regime and becoming EU members in 2004 and 2007. However, little is known about factors affecting the business development and strategy and what the influence is of the environment (context) and the culture in which entrepreneurs must operate.

This project supports the business development of farmers in Poland, Lithuania and Slovenia through interactive learning methods for Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship (ISM) The project is one of the cases of the 'Entrepreneurial Learning & Innovation’ project and therefore aims to provide insight into the "translatability" of an interactive method (ISM) developed in the Netherlands, to other - in this case, Eastern Europe - countries with different culture and context.
