Facilitating innovations at the interface of the top sectors

In this project, opportunities and barriers will be mapped for innovations in the area of ​​the top sectors. Also the role the government can play herein will be discussed.


For this project, Alterra Wageningen UR examines how the government can create conditions to stimulate innovations. Innovations are expected to play a crucial role in the development of regional clusters and top sectors to dynamic 'engines' for economic growth. The government is committed to the so-called golden triangle (government, businesses, research institutions) in order to create innovations, but what should be her role in this? With literature research and practical experiences, Alterra gives the Dutch Ministry of EL&I insight into opportunities and barriers to innovation. In addition, the project gives opportunities for facilitating and boosting innovations.
