Future sugar policy

The sugar market regulation ends on 30 september 2015. It is important to gain the necessary knowledge in time and get informed tohave a view on the desirable continuation of the EU sugar policy.

In the light of the reform in 2006 of the sugar market organization and the vision of other Member States on the future of the sugar market knowledge is important.

The goal of this project is to understand the pros and cons of continuing the sugar market regulation, possibly in modified form, after september 2015. The research focuses on international, national and company level.

The result is insight into the arguments for and against continuation - either alone or in modified form - of the sugar market regulation.
