Efforts to promote innovation in agriculture and food security though Tertiary Agricultural Education (TAE) involves many stakeholders inside and outside TAE institutions. Recognising this complexity, the Dutch government has imposed the 5 Capabilities model (Morgan, 2008) on Dutch TAE capacity development programmes.
This KB project aims to assist TAE institutes and development partners in becoming more effective in promoting agricultural innovation and food security by addressing key systemic capacity issues. More specifically, we operationalise a systems approach to this kind of transformation by developing a practical 5 Capabilities tool.
- a brief 5 C guidance review report (digital on managingforimpact resource portal and distributed via relevant social media)
- a practical tool (pdf and online) for applying the 5 C model in planning and evaluation of TAE change processes.
