Link between monitoring results from surface water and the authorisation of substances

One of the aims of this project is the development of a procedure for identification of problematic substances.

Aims

In cooperation with the project team Beslisboom Water:

  1. a procedure for identification of problematic substances is developed
  2. a protocol for determining the cause of standard exceedings is developed and tested
  3. a procedure for linking the results of step 2 to the licence owner and Board of Authorisation of ppp's en biocides.

Approach

The authorisation procedure for ppp's and  biocides needs an update to meet the criteria launched by the Water Framework Directive. Part of the adjustment needed is a link between monitoring results from surface water and the authorisation of substances.

Results

The procedures and protocol have been developed and reported.
