In previous projects fundamental methods for biosensors and diagnostics are explored at the nano molecular level. One example is modification of surfaces of biosensors, and the as optimally as possible linking and functionalization of biomolecules in micro-arrays.
More and more quality and safety issues in the agri-food domain require a multi-analyte and / or on-site response to diagnostic questions. Condition is that the results are clearly and understandably are presented and also readily available. Moreover, it is important to keep costs as low as possible.
The aim of this project is the development of miniaturized, multi-analyte diagnostic platforms. A microarray for detecting 10 to 25 components at the same time will be developed.
