The history of Natura 2000-procedures is not orderly stored making it difficult to reconstruct processes. To create overview, a web application will be developed where all important documents can be stored.
AbstractThe procedure of registration and designating Natura 2000 sites is not structurally defined. Official documents and underlying decisions and investigations of procedure are not always available digitally, and sometimes they are present in different databases. This makes it difficult to reconstruct the decision making process, for example due Parliamentary or public participation.
The aim of this project is to establish an audit trail to the history surrounding the decision making of Natura 2000 sites in the Netherlands.
The result is a user-friendly internet application for employees of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation.
