This proposal aims at identifying improved governance mechanisms in the palm oil sector, with a particular focus on the possibilities of increasing collaboration between national palm oil governance mechanisms such as in place in Indonesia and those governance mechanisms operating at international level such as the RSPO. The funding is complementary to an INREF research programme Towards Environmentally Sustainable and Equitable Palm oil. The focus of the project for 2014 is on engaging actors from the two aforementioned governance mechanisms into a process of constructive dialogue.
