BNR: Europe is increasingly colonized by nasty exotic species

Europe is increasingly colonized by nasty exotic species: recently, a Piranha was found in the Rhine and a Black widow spider in Belgium. These may be incidents, or indications of enhanced exchange of species between continents. Most these species will not survive winter conditions, but when the climate changes further, we need to become even more careful with these exotic invaders.
