Beijerinck Virology Premium prize for Stan Brouns
8 March 2013 - Today the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences presented the Beijerinck Virology Premium for promising virologists to Stan Brouns.
Stan Brouns is Assistant Professor Bacterial Genetics at the Laboratory of Microbiology, Wageningen University. The research of Dr Brouns aims to elucidate not only how the immune system works, but also what solutions viruses have come up with to escape immunity.
The Beijerinck Prizes are established by the M.W. Beijerinck Virology Fund in memory of the virologist Martinus Willem Beijerinck. More information can be found <L CODE="">here</L>.
